Hi, I’m Comfort.

I’m a mother, writer, and brand storyteller — Nigerian-born, Canadian-raised — and someone who’s always believed in the power of words, scent, and beauty to hold space for real life.

House of Comfort™ is my first product-based brand, born in a season where I needed something tangible to hold onto.

I studied at the University of Toronto and Yale University. I’ve spent over a decade leading global business development and supplier diversity strategies for major corporations — helping companies and not-for-profit organizations grow, scale, and lead across borders.

I’ve also built and run consulting companies of my own.

But building this? Making something with my hands? That was different.

In the middle of a personal storm - life shaken, roles shifting - I needed comfort in a form I could see, hold, and light.

Scent became my way back to myself.

Each candle started as a quiet offering — a reminder that softness isn’t weakness, and that healing often smells like home.

House of Comfort isn’t just about candles. It’s about the moments we don’t post. The undone dishes. The brave decisions. The late-night prayers. The boundaries. The becoming.

Every candle inThe Life of Her Collection is a scene from that life.

They’re not just products - they’re personal.

This brand was built by a woman rebuilding.

If you’re navigating your own becoming — tender, tired, or just in need of a pause — welcome.

You’re not just a customer here. You’re a Resident.

And it’s an honor to scent the spaces where your life is unfolding.

With love,

Comfort Avunze Sakoma
