We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.

Products & Availability

We offer luxury home fragrance products including candles and wax melts. All products are hand-poured in small batches, and slight variations in appearance or scent may occur. These variations are part of the artisanal nature of our products and do not constitute defects.

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue or modify products at any time without notice.

Orders, Pricing & Currency

All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Applicable sales taxes are calculated automatically at checkout through Shopify.

We reserve the right to:

●    Adjust pricing at any time without prior notice

●    Correct pricing or product description errors

●    Cancel orders due to suspected fraud, inventory issues, or pricing inaccuracies

If an order is cancelled, any payment made will be refunded in accordance with our payment processor’s policies.

Order Processing & Shipping

We currently ship within Canada only.

Processing times are typically 2–5 business days before shipment. Shipping times vary based on carrier and destination and are outside of our control once the order has been dispatched.

We are not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, weather conditions, customs, or other events beyond our control.

Final Sale Policy

All products are final sale.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, scent preference, or minor variations in appearance.

Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, you must contact us within 5 days of delivery with:

●    Clear photographic evidence of the damage

●    Your order number

Approved claims will result in a replacement at our discretion. Claims submitted after 5 days from delivery may not be eligible for replacement.

Missing Packages

If a package is marked as delivered but not received, we may request a police report before considering a replacement or resolution. This requirement is applied at our discretion to prevent fraud.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before shipment only. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Product Use & Safety Disclaimer

Our candles and wax melts are designed for safe use when all provided instructions are followed. Safety warnings are included on product labels and instruction cards with every order.

By purchasing our products, you agree that you assume full responsibility for proper use, including but not limited to:

●    Never leaving candles unattended while burning

●    Trimming wicks before each burn

●    Using wax melts only with approved warmers

●    Keeping products away from children, pets, and flammable materials

We disclaim all liability for damages, injuries, or losses resulting from misuse, improper handling, or failure to follow provided safety instructions.

Wax Melt Warmer Safety

Wax melts must only be used in appropriate wax warmers. Do not add water, place melts directly on open flames, or use in devices not designed for wax melting. Improper use may result in fire hazards or injury.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including product names, fragrance systems (e.g., numbered collections), descriptions, copywriting, branding, logos, and imagery, is the intellectual property of The Avunze Company Inc. and House of Comfort™.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or exploit any content without our prior written permission.

Unauthorized use of our product names, brand language, or storytelling concepts is strictly prohibited.

Unauthorized Resale

Products purchased from House of Comfort™ may not be resold on third-party marketplaces (including but not limited to Amazon, Etsy, or similar platforms) without our prior written authorization.

We reserve the right to refuse future orders or terminate relationships with unauthorized resellers.

Wholesale Terms

Wholesale ordering is subject to approval and may require additional agreements. All wholesale orders are final sale unless otherwise specified in writing.

We reserve the right to decline wholesale applications or discontinue wholesale partnerships at our discretion.

Workshops & Events

From time to time, we may offer in-person candle-making workshops or events.

All workshop bookings are non-refundable but may be transferred to another participant. By attending a workshop, participants acknowledge and assume all risks associated with the use of hot wax, fragrance oils, tools, and equipment.

Participants agree that The Avunze Company Inc. and House of Comfort™ are not liable for injuries, sensitivities, allergic reactions, or damages that may occur during workshops. We maintain appropriate event insurance, but attendance is at your own risk.

Email Marketing & Communications

By subscribing to our newsletter or providing your email address at checkout, you consent to receive marketing communications from House of Comfort™ via email (including through platforms such as Klaviyo). You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in our emails.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Avunze Company Inc. and House of Comfort™ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or misuse of our products or website.

Our total liability, in any case, shall not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, carrier delays, supply chain disruptions, government actions, or technical failures.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
