Our Story

House of Comfort™ is a Calgary, Alberta–based luxury home brand rooted in the belief that how a home feels matters just as much as how it looks. Proudly Canadian-made, woman-owned, and BIPOC-owned, the brand was founded by a first-generation Afro-Canadian with a deep appreciation for home as both sanctuary and lived experience.

We began with fragrance because scent is the most emotionally powerful of the senses—more closely tied to memory and feeling than sight or sound. The mind remembers scent instinctively: warm baked goods lingering in a childhood kitchen, freshly washed cotton sheets drying in the sun, the soft, clean sweetness of a baby just bathed.
